Plumbing Maintenance

Minimum Preferably a Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering

Certified training for Plumbing Site Engineer (programme aligned to PSC/Q 05 released by the Indian Plumbing Skills Council)

Preferably 5 years of work experience on the site of construction projects

The tasks a Plumbing Site Engineer is expected to perform include: Providing technical, organizational and supervisory assistance in the plumbing projects

Managing workforce, material and tools management

Undertaking quality and inspection checks of plumbing systems and connections

Monitoring the work environment for maintaining health and safety requirements

Co-ordinating with consultants, subcontractors, etc. involved in the project

Preparing and maintaining reports and logs of day-to-day executions

Commissioning plumbing systems on completion of the project

Understanding of the different types of materials, basic sanitary fittings and fixtures

Basic understanding of plumbing terminology

Knowledge of various techniques related to cutting, bending and joining of fittings and fixtures Knowledge of various types of defects like leakages, improper alignment, etc.Working knowledge of relevant hand and power tools such as wrench, plier, screwdriver, power drill, pipe cutter, crimping tool, pipe bender, threading tool, etc. Knowledge of the material disposal procedure
